THE GEOMETRY OF LIFE

Frankreich2007 104Renaissance garden at Chateau Villandry, Valley of Loire / France

If you once have the chance to visit France do not forget to visit the famous valley of the Loire with its diverse castles from past times for instance Villandry castle where you will find a big renaissance garden. In a modern sense renaissance means to be born again every day like a butterfly escaping the cocoon for lifting off to the first flight in the sky. Here at Villandry the constructor is imitating nature because the geometrical structures look more like gigantic snow crystals in their diverse shapes. You can dive into these structures like in an ocean of mathematical symbols which are altogether a great labyrinth. So take care that you do not get lost in these mazes when you pay too much attention to all the nice plants and simply just miss the way to the next exit.

I like travelling through the diverse realities and cultures of this world not only as a tourist. So this may also happen by simply imaginating the hidden rivers and caves of consciousness where postmodern nomads are crossing wide endless landscapes leading to a dream of no-where. My favourite areas are deserts like the sahara or high mountains, as in these empty terrestric regions the far-away horizon and sky is no limit anymore but a possible gate to inspiration and freedom. Posts will be published normally in English, but whenever appropriate also only in my mother tongue German. Unless otherwise mentioned or individually specified (for example by naming the author, artist, etc.) all texts, photos and/or graphic illustrations in this blog are subject to © urban liaisons (which may please be respected).

  1. A renaissance is exactly what we need right now! And to wander into the wondrous unknown! Thank you for sharing your journeys with us. And for your amazingly insightful comment on my poem. Stay blessed! 🙂
